Red gum for woodturning #saw

These lovely bits of redgum were bought at a recent trip to a sawmill at Mount Torrens. the largest piece at the back is about 400mm x 400mm and about 125mm thick. Im hoping to cut this into square sections that are about 80m square to make some pepper grinders. Redgum is my absolute favourite for this it turns well and machines nicely.

When the redgum dries a bit more I will be making more pepper grinders.

The smaller pieces at the front are destined to become some bowls. I already have a vague idea of how these will look. I am hoping to buy a texturing tool and do something decorative on the rim when I have the time to turn.
